A bells-only alarm can only sound for a maximum of 20 minutes under current noise regulations. Monitoring means key holders — and, where included, the Police — can be contacted when the system activates.

Monitoring options

System monitored to contact your key holders on a first detection device being activated, and your key holders and the Police on a second detection device being activated.
System monitored to contact your home first and then your key holders should the correct password not be given.
Key-holder-only monitoring, without Police response, which is slightly cheaper.

The maintenance contract comprises one preventive service check per year for systems which have not been set up for Police response, and two service checks for those which have. Home monitoring is available from £15/month. Commercial monitoring is available from £20.00 per month.

Do you offer alarm monitoring?

Yes. Maintenance and monitoring is available from £15/month for homes, with single path and dual path monitoring options. Commercial monitoring is available from £20.00 per month. There is a minimum two years contract period for all monitored systems.

If I have a monitored alarm system do I need to have police response?

No. You can have your security system monitored to contact your key holders only. The maintenance and monitoring costs will also be slightly cheaper.

What do the maintenance and monitoring contract comprise of?

The maintenance contract comprises one preventive service check per year for systems which have not been set up for Police response, and two service checks for those which have. It also comprises all callouts, labour and free replacement of parts required to rectify faults. If your system is monitored, the monitoring contract comprises contacting your key holders on a first alarm activation and the Police on a second or confirmed alarm activation if this service is included in your contract.

Can the Fire Services also be contacted in the event of a fire?

Yes. The Fire Services can be contacted on your behalf by the Alarm Receiving Centre in the event of a fire, provided you have a monitored system and have one or more smoke detectors fitted to your security system.
