Security Alarm Systems

There are various premises and goods that would be classed as high risk and hence the additional protection which an intruder alarm system offers. Just to list some of those premises, are Pharmacies, where drugs are usually kept for which there a great chance of theft. Schools also need good security systems as they usually keep high value computers which are used in their IT departments.  Then there are premises like museums which keep costly paintings. These high value items sometimes are attached to an internal alarm system which only sounds internally to alert the security guards who in turn would notify the relevant authorities.  Warehouses also need to have sophisticated burglar alarm systems very often with red care or GPRS signalling which means that the alarm signals will still go through to the alarm monitoring  centre even if the telephone land line is faulty or cut.  Offices are also prime targets and these premises are often guarded by security  personnel who work twenty four hours around the clock and very often working over several  shifts to ensure that those buildings are properly   Then there are trucks also which carry cargo both locally and throughout the continent which are also prone to be attacked by potential burglars. Vehicles such as these are fitted with   security alarm systems  comprising engine immobilisers preventing these  vehicles to be stolen. Cars also sometimes carry high value sound systems which are very much targeted and are also fitted with good burglar alarm systems.

Moving away from commercial and mobile targets there is the domestic sector which is now becoming  very targeted by potential thieves as the occupiers of houses or apartments very often keep expensive jewellery and a home security system is a very effective deterrent. More people nowadays own items such as computers, laptops, plasma tvs and mobile phones which are sought after by potential burglars. Even their cars parked on their drive ways are at risk nof being stolen. For this reason, many residential premises now have cctv systems with infra red lights to pick up any movement happening in the immediate vicinity of their homes. CCTV security systems  are an addition to the security that standard intruder alarm systems provide . the images can very often be viewed over the internet and appear  on the residents mobile phones if they have internet access.

Many residential premises nowadays prefer to have a wireless alarm system as opposed to the conventional wired type for the simple reason that there is very little disruption to the existing  decor. Also most flooring is now of the wooden parquet type and it would not be practical and indeed any cabling can prove to be very unsightly. Also there are very few holes drilled and those can be mostly covered by the items being fitted on the walls. Unlike in the old days there is now  a wide choice of wireless detection devices such as movement detectors, door contacts, break glass detectors, shock detectors and smoke detectors. The wireless range of products, however, usually cost a little more than their wired counterparts but well worth it when the advantages are considered. Some people who may have experienced a recent burglary and are not in a financial position to afford  a security alarm system  may prefer as a temporary fix to just have a couple of dummy bell boxes fitted at the front and rear elevation of their homes until they can save up enough money to have one installed by a recognised intruder alarm installation company. Although it might take a few days to get used to your security system but it’s just a matter of persistence and then it becomes second nature giving so much well deserved peace of mind.
